Another Drunk Conquistador

from Another Drunk Conquistador by Ian Taylor

/

lyrics

She speaks of the weather in June
bleeding ink on a sunshine's bruise.
And I stare at your painting until I lose my place.
There's no point in us remaining and I hate my face.

She's so full of life, I hate to see her get to know me.
Cause in the hidden cracks I shine and every night they just keep on growing.

On the edge of her toes she spins like the moon.
With eyes like the road, opalescently confused.
The trees are casting shadows on the cement floor.
The people are shouting "Here goes another drunk conquistador"

She's so full of life, I hate to see her get to know me.
Cause in the hidden cracks I shine and every night they just keep on growing.
