I remember when you sat with me in that church service.
You watched me click my pen, you watched me shake my leg, I was so nervous.
and when you closed your eyes, I tried to say I’m sorry.
but it was a windy night and I don’t think you heard me.
And when you left I finally met your sweet mother.
I saw it fine, you have her eyes, only a bit younger.
Now years go by leaving behind all these lonely nights.
And my dreams can’t sleep cause they’re pressured beneath the memory of your eyes.
and I’ve been here and there, yea I have seen so much.
but it all can’t compare to any single time we’ve touched.
